Greetings Swim Parents!
As we start approaching the summer months, there are expected to be considerably more thunderstorms. In the event that there is inclement weather, our policy is to cancel swim classes when there is noted lightning or thunder. If there are signs of lightning or thunder within 30 minutes to the start of a class, or during class, the lesson will have to be cancelled. We will not make the call to cancel any classes until at least 30 minutes prior to a class.
Our primary make up program is called Splash Jam, held:
- Every Friday from 5:00 – 6:00 pm
- Every Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
If the area is under a tornado WATCH, we will continue to hold lessons. If the area is ever put under a tornado WARNING, classes will be cancelled and all customers present at Sun Country will be asked to return inside, staying away from windows and doors.
Should the decision be made to cancel class(es), Sun Country will make a deliberate effort to send all families a text message indicating so. Please contact the front desk to make sure you are signed up to receive these texts. You are also free to call us up to 30 minutes before the start of your class to find out if that decision has been made.
Please make sure you are adhering to our double diaper policy. If your child is not completely potty trained, they must wear a swim diaper AND a Sun Country diaper cover. This helps both keep our pool clean and avoid any accidents. In most cases, when there is an accident due to improper swim wear, we have to close the pool down and fix the quality of the water. The pool can be closed anywhere from 30 minutes to 14 hours! If you have any questions about whether or not you have the proper swim wear, please feel free to ask any of the Swim Staff.
It is a sincere pleasure having the opportunity to coach your children in class every day! If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
