Here is a look at the November Sun Country Dance Itinerary:

We are so excited this year to be celebrating our 10th Anniversary Recital!  This year’s production will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. If you are not currently a dance student, there is still time to join a dance class and participate in this year’s Recital. However, deadlines are fast approaching, so sign-up soon so you won’t miss out on being a part of this special Anniversary celebration!

PARENT OBSERVATION WEEK  –  November 14th – November 19th!

Parent Observation Week is coming up! During this week, parents are permitted to observe class inside the studio. Our students are so excited to share all that they have been learning. Don’t forget your cameras! (Please take a moment to review the Rules & Guidelines regarding Parent Observation Week – posted outside both our Wood and Marley studios.) Thank you for helping us to make this an enjoyable and informative experience for all the students, teachers and parents.

Sun Country Dance Theatre (our resident non-profit performing dance company) had a fantastic performance at the Downtown Festival & Art Show this past Sunday! The performance was presented at the Bo Diddley Community Plaza and all of our dancers looked stunning on the stage. Thank you to all of those who took the time to enjoy the arts festival and support our SCDT performance resident dancers – we had a blast!

We are delighted to share some exciting news about one of our Dance Sun Country students and SCDT performing member, Tanner Benton-Mundorff. This past summer, Tanner was awarded a full scholarship to attend the 4-week Intensive with Central Florida Ballet (CFB) in Orlando. Tanner has recently been invited by CFB to perform with them in their nationally-recognized* production of the “Nutcracker” in December!  Tanner will be performing several roles, including the coveted role of “Fritz”. In addition, he will be performing as a “Soldier”, as well as a “Bon-Bon”, where he will have the opportunity to showcase his amazing tumbling talents (a result of his four years as a member of the Sun Country Tramp & Tumble competitive team, of course!). The Nutcracker performances will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2:00 PM & 7:30 PM, and Sunday, December 18, 2:00 PM. All performances are held at the Orange County Convention Center, Linda Chapin Auditorium, Orlando. We would like to invite you to join us for a performance and show support for one of our own! As a member of the Sun Country “family”, we have been provided the opportunity to purchase tickets at a 50% discount. Simply visit the following link to purchase your tickets, select your seats, and then use the code CASTMEMBER on the basket page.
