Dear Dance Families,

We are so excited to announce that our Recital 2020 has been rescheduled and we are confirmed for Saturday, August 8, 2020 – at the Phillips Center!

We want to assure you that we have made this decision to move forward only after much thought and thorough consideration of the many factors involved, and are confident that we have identified a format that will be safe for all our dancers, guests, and staff.

A brief outline of our format includes:

  • Four (4) “Mini-Recitals” throughout the day – to allow for only a very limited number of dancers and guests in the facility at any one time.
  • Allotted times in the schedule throughout the day to allow for cleaning and sanitizing between each mini-Recital.
  • A continuation of the protocols you are accustomed to at Sun Country, as well as additional enhanced protocols in place by UF at the Phillips Center, – including, temperature checks, hand sanitizing, face masks, physical distancing in all areas (backstage, audience, hallways), etc.

More detailed information will be coming within the next week that will outline each class’ time slot assignments, order of dances, and specific guidelines, protocols and procedures for the event.

We can’t thank you enough for all of your support and patience throughout this process of us determining the best and safest way to move forward with our Recital 2020. It’s been wonderful seeing our dancers back in classes these past four weeks – and working so hard to finish and polish all their dances. I know they will be so excited for this opportunity to be able to finally wear their costumes and perform for their families. We are certain that this years unique format will assure that this is a safe experience for everyone.

Thank you!

Dance Sun Country Recital

Dance Sun Country will have its Annual recital at the end of each dance year. Participation in the recital not only helps to build self-confidence, but also develops theatrical presence, expressiveness, style and teamwork, which are essential to the performing arts. We do encourage all our students to share in this rewarding experience. It is a wonderful way for students to showcase the results of their hard work and for family and friends to join in their pride of achievement.
