Hello Ninja Zone parents!

My name is Cole Maffeo and I am the Department Leader for Ninja ZoneI am super excited about my new role in this great program and what’s to come.

I have been a coach for about 12 years now, teaching everything from beginner to advance boys and girls recreational classes, all levels of trampoline and tumbling classes/teams, all levels of cheerleading, and all levels of USAG/AAU Girls and Boys teams. I have also participated in the sport of gymnastics/cheerleading for 15 years and love to coach. You will see me around the Ninja room checking in every so often and also coaching some of my own classes – feel free to stop by and say hi!

With the new year, we have new changes coming to the Ninja Zone Program. The structure of our classes is going to be adjusting slightly. This should allow for both a more progressive teaching style and learning curve for the ninjas so that they can more easily and quickly advance in the levels of Ninja Zone. We want your kids to continually improve and learn new things, this new structure change should allow just that.

Along with changes in structure, we are also working to implement an online system for tracking ninjas skills which will better indicate when students are ready to move up through our Ninja Missions. It is still in progress, but once it’s up and running to full capacity you will have the chance to see your ninja’s skill track (where they are excelling and where they may need more practice).

All skills will be input with descriptions so that parents will be able to better understand the skills we are working on in class. Our trainers will be using small tablets before/after class to take role and input the ninja’s specific rating which will be based on 3 stars:

⭐ – Ninja knows skill but needs practice.
⭐⭐ – Ninja is showing improvement.
⭐⭐⭐ – Ninja has mastered the skill.

We are also in the process of adding a Baby Ninjas parent-child class for students 18 months – 3 years! This class will introduce Ninjas to structure, socialization, play, and most importantly – FUN! Make sure to stay tuned for more information on this exciting new development.

With all these changes, please bear with us as we move forward into the new year and get these systems up and running. I am very excited about what is to come for our Ninja Zone classes!

If you have any questions, please feel free to stop me in the hallway, catch me in between classes for a quick chat, or email me at ninja@suncountrysports.com for anything needing a longer explanation. I’d be more than happy to speak with anyone.

Have a great day!

Cole Maffeo
