FUNrichemnt After-School is proud to be licensed with Florida Department of Children & Families (DCF), Nationally Accredited with COA, and hold Gold Seal designation with the Florida Division of Early Learning, meaning we meet the highest quality standards in the industry for our students and staff.
Counselor job duties involve leading activities with school-age children (ages 5 – 11) in our 40,000 sq. ft. Jonesville facility. All activity training is provided, and counselors will lead activities such as basic gymnastics skills, group games, rock-climbing, board games, homework assistance, etc. Schedule is part-time and available shifts are 1:00 – 6:30 pm Monday – Friday. Opportunities may exist for additional hours in other Sun Country departments depending on skills and qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a licensed DCF childcare facility
- 40-hours DCF Training Completed
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Must love working with children and have at least some formal or informal experience
- Must be available to work school holiday breaks
- Level 2 Background Screen (within 2 weeks of hire)
- CPR, AED & First Aid Certification (within 30 days of hire)
- DCF 40-hours Childcare Training (within one year of hire)
