Team Sun Country

Sun Country Sports offers both developmental and competitive gymnastics programs. These classes are traditionally offered by invitation only to those children that excel in the gym and desire accelerated instruction.

Our developmental program is typically for children ages 4 to 6. Children learn fundamental body positions, basic muscle strength and flexibility that competitive gymnastics requires. Most athletes in our developmental program will eventually graduate into our competitive team program.

We offer competitive team programs for both boys and girls from ages 6 to 18. Our teams practice extensively and travel the country to compete in both USA Gymnastics (USAG) and XCEL- AAU competitions. Many of our competitive team members go on to compete at the collegiate level.

Our USAG boys and girls teams train in our Millhopper facility with over 15,000 square feet of workout space. We have an in-ground foam pit, a 7′ x 14′ in-ground Australian hot bed trampoline, a 50′ rod floor, as well as a state-of-the-art tumble trak.

The USAG Girls Team’s mission is to inspire excellence in the sport of gymnastics, encouraging athletes to push themselves to their greatest potential through development of a strong mind, body and character in a safe environment.

The USAG Boys Team’s mission is to help each athlete reach his full potential in competitive gymnastics, developing a confident self-image and a love for fitness in a safe and positive environment.

The XCEL Gymnastics Team’s mission is to provide an opportunity for recreational gymnasts to further their training and develop healthy life skills including work ethic, goal-setting and teamwork.
