Sun Country’s FUNrichment After-School program is licensed through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), License Number: C08AL0013 and nationally accredited through the Council on Accreditation, underscoring our commitment to excellence in every aspect of our program.

2 – How late are you open and what is your counselor-to-student ratio?

FUNrichment provides care until 6:30pm Monday-Friday and offers a 1:12 counselor-to-student ratio.

3 – Do you provide transportation from local schools?

We pick up students from the following elementary schools:

• Chiles Elmentary
• Hidden Oak Elmentary
• Meadowbrook Elmentary
• Newberry Elmentary *
• Terwilliger Elmentary *
• Wiles Elmentary

4 – What kind of background checks, safety training, and professional development do your counselors receive?

Sun Country mandates that all staff members pass a Level 2 Fingerprint Background Screening before being hired. Then, each counselor receives training to become certified in CPR/First Aid Safety and AED use. For ongoing development, all FUNrichment After-School counselors are required to complete continuing education training each year.

FUNrichment is all about creating an exciting, engaging environment where every child can find something they love! Daily stations ensure each student participates in activities like:

– Gymnastics and Dance
– NinjaZone Training
– Rock Wall Climbing
– Swimming and Water Activities
– Arts and Crafts
– Homework Supervision
– Outdoor Playground and Field Games
– Trampolines and Bounce Houses
– Field trips to places like Escapology and Pinspiration

Our whole-child education approach nurtures learning in Math, Science, Early Literacy, Arts, and Social Studies through the utilization of McGraw-Hill’s Early Childhood Express curriculum. Our mission also focuses on supporting social-emotional growth through imaginative play, while maintaining a 1:10 teacher-to-student ratio.

3 – What are the day and time options available?

Sunny’s Pre-School offers a 5-days-a-week and a 3-days-a-week option. Drop off is at 8:30am and pick up is at 3:00pm. We offer an extended day option that lasts until 6:30pm if you need care for a longer day.

Camp Sunny Junior and School Year Camps are licensed through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), License #: C08AL0013.

2 – What are your camp hours and what is your student-to-counselor ratio?

Camp Sunny provides care 7:30am-6:30pm during weekdays and offers a 1:12 ratio (school age) and 1:8 ratio (ages 2.5-5), ensuring each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

3 – What age children are eligible to attend camp?

Camp Sunny is available for children ages 2.5 (must be fully potty trained) through rising 6th graders.

4 – What kind of background checks, safety training, and professional development do your counselors receive?

In addition, all counselors receive training in the following areas so that all children have fun, safely:

– Group games

Camp Sunny is committed to providing children with an enriching experience during school breaks, where they can have fun, learn, stay active, and forge friendships that last a lifetime!
